Jonathan Berney Founding Partner
Jonathan has over 35 years of experience in the IT and infrastructure construction sector and has a reputation for successfully scaling businesses, often in complex and challenging circumstances. With Oliver Jones he co-founded Chayora, an offshore-funded hyperscale data centre platform in China which included direct equity capital raising of c.USD $700m over 9 rounds from both small & institutional investors (Actis, Standard Chartered PFRE & EdgeConnex-EQT). This delivered a 8.5x return to early investors.
Prior to Chayora, he was Regional Managing Partner of EC Harris (now Arcadis) in Asia; the CEO of C-construction.com a Cap Gemini owned online platform; and a Senior Advisor to Marubeni Corporation in Japan, specialising in the funding and structuring of international project finance. He began his career in the international infrastructure construction sector moving into banking as an equities analyst with Cazenove in London.
